Your Council

Aberystwyth Town Council is an elected statutory body, a local council whose commitment is solely for the town and community of Aberystwyth. The Town Council provides a number of services in the town and contributes financially towards services provided by other statutory bodies and organisations. The Town Council operates a committee structure to better organise its responsibilities and governance. Details about these committees such as their membership and functions are available.

What We Do

The Town Council adds its voice to key national campaigns such as Black Lives Matter, Independence for Wales, investment in renewable energy, taxation of holiday homes, and transport matters such as the re-opening of the Aberystwyth to Carmarthen train line.
